Gapyeong County has drawn attention by being selected as the top institution in the Gyeonggi Province city and county agricultural administration evaluation, achieving the highest award for two consecutive years and being recognized as an excellent institution for nine consecutive years.

On October 29, Gapyeong County announced that it had been chosen as the top institution in the '2025 Gyeonggi Province Agricultural Administration Evaluation,' earning an institutional commendation and a prize of 13.5 million won. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on November 7 at the 'Gyeonggi Province Farmers' Day' event.

This evaluation targeted 31 cities and counties in Gyeonggi Province and was conducted based on a total of 35 indicators, including eight key policies in the agricultural and livestock sectors, contributions to provincial policies, and special initiatives. The process included a document review and an assessment of contributions to provincial governance. Gapyeong County received high marks for its balanced achievements across all areas.

In particular, Gapyeong County has maintained its status as an excellent institution for nine consecutive years, being selected as the top institution five times and as an excellent institution four times in the field of agricultural administration since 2017. This achievement is attributed to the proactive participation of local farmers and a field-oriented, active administration.

An official from the county stated, "Achieving excellent results in the Gyeonggi Province agricultural administration evaluation for nine consecutive years is a valuable accomplishment made possible by the collective efforts of all Gapyeong County farmers. We will continue to do our best to discover outstanding farmers, support the production of high-quality agricultural products, and increase income in the agriculture and livestock industries."
