This workshop was organized by the Gyeongbuk Provincial Office of Education and attended by directors and policy managers from both provincial offices, who shared major policies and project achievements. The Gyeongbuk Provincial Office of Education introduced external public relations strategies centered on the "K-Edu Expo" and outlined the direction of education in the era of artificial intelligence (AI).
The Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education presented the process of promoting the "Glocal Future Education Expo" held in Yeosu last year, as well as a regionally tailored future education model. In particular, the Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education shared examples of region-specific policies such as Jeonnam-style AI education, innovation in rural, mountain, and fishing village schools, and career and college entrance support systems, proposing ways to build a future education ecosystem.
Both offices agreed to use this exchange as an opportunity to strengthen communication among working-level staff and to regularize policy exchanges, thereby establishing a practical cooperation system. They also plan to expand the scope of cooperation by pursuing joint research and training programs in the future.
Kim Daejung, Superintendent of Jeonnam Provincial Office of Education, stated, "Although Yeongnam and Honam are geographically separated, our passion and philosophy for education are united. Through this exchange, I hope we can break down regional barriers and achieve practical educational cooperation centered on students and teachers."
