This festival, held under the theme "The Relentless Challenge of Youth and Young Adults," marked its third year and has established itself as a signature cultural event planned and participated in directly by Gwangju’s youth and young adults.
In particular, the festival provided youth and young adults with opportunities to participate in a variety of cultural and artistic activities, creating a venue where all citizens could enjoy together. This served as a catalyst for strengthening intergenerational communication and fostering a sense of community within the region.
The event was further enlivened by the participation of Mayor Bang Sehwan, other key guests, and citizens. The festival grounds featured 56 youth and young adult experience booths and 8 food trucks, offering a wide array of entertainment and food options. Citizen-participation programs such as youth busking also received an enthusiastic response.
The main stage opened with performances by six teams from the Gwangju Shared School Education Festival. The subsequent opening ceremony included a declaration by youth and young adult representatives, celebratory performances by seven youth and young adult clubs, and passionate performances by guest singers HYNN (Park Hyewon) and Angel Noise, which energized the atmosphere at the venue.
Mayor Bang Sehwan stated, "Just like the festival’s slogan 'Cheong-Po-Do,' the relentless challenges of our youth and young adults will create a bright future for Gwangju City and our young people. We will continue to provide various forms of support so that youth and young adults can pursue their dreams and grow."
