Record-High Transaction for 84m² Unit in the Complex

Yoon Hyunjun, producer at Studio Slam and director of the Netflix hit "Black and White Chef," purchased a luxury residential-commercial apartment at Trimage in Seongsu-dong, Seoul for 5.49 billion won, paying the entire amount in cash without any loans.

According to the Supreme Court's certified copy of the real estate register on October 25, Yoon signed a contract on June 24 to purchase an 84-square-meter unit at Trimage, Seongsu-dong 1-ga, Seongdong-gu, Seoul for 5.49 billion won, and completed the ownership transfer process by paying the balance in full on the 13th of this month.

As there is no mortgage registered on the property, it appears the transaction was conducted entirely in cash without any loans from financial institutions. This transaction marks the highest price ever recorded for an 84-square-meter unit at Trimage.

According to the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s actual transaction price disclosure system, the same unit size was traded at 3.92 billion won in July 2023, exceeded 5 billion won earlier this year, and remained in the 5.1 billion won range until Yoon’s transaction set a new record high.

Yoon began his career at KBS, then worked at JTBC, and is now CEO of Studio Slam, where he produces variety shows. He has gained attention for his innovative direction in audition and mystery variety programs that cross genre boundaries, such as "Crime Scene" and "Sing Again."

In particular, "Black and White Chef," produced by Studio Slam, became the first Korean variety show to reach number one worldwide on Netflix, achieving global success. In recognition of this accomplishment, Yoon received the Producer of the Year Award at the 37th Korea PD Awards held in April this year.

Yoon currently owns an 84-square-meter unit at Kintex One City Block 3 in Goyang, Gyeonggi Province, and is reported to have moved his residence to Seongsu-dong, Seoul with the purchase of the Trimage unit. However, he has not yet sold his existing home in Goyang. The market value of that property is estimated to be around 1.2 billion won.
