Goheung County Successfully Concludes 2025 Aerospace Industry Biz Festa

MOUs and Tenancy Agreements Signed with 20 Companies and Associations
"Leaping Forward as a Global Aerospace Industry Hub"

Goheung County in Jeollanam-do (Governor: Gong Youngmin) announced on the 23rd that it had successfully held the "2025 Goheung Aerospace Industry Biz Festa," co-hosted by Jeollanam-do Province and Goheung County, on the 22nd at Sono Calm Goyang in Gyeonggi-do.


This event brought together more than 200 participants, including companies and associations in the aerospace and drone sectors, research institutions, and investors. The purpose was to share Goheung's vision and development strategies for future industries, promote the investment environment of Goheung as a hub city for aerospace, and strengthen collaborative networks with related companies.

In addition, 20 companies and associations related to space and aviation (drones, UAM) signed business and investment agreements (MOUs) and tenancy agreements, thereby solidifying the foundation for accelerating the creation of industrial bases such as the National Space Launch Vehicle Industrial Complex and the Specialized Agro-Industrial Complex for Unmanned Aerial Agricultural Technology.


In particular, following the investment proposal presentation by Jeollanam-do Province, the keynote speeches featured industry experts such as Oh Sejin, Director of FineVT Robotics Research Institute; Mitchell Williams, Head of SKYPORTS Korea; Yang Hyunsang, Director of the Defense Convergence Technology Research Institute; and Lee Jaekwang, Senior Researcher at NH Investment & Securities. They presented the growth potential and future strategies for Goheung's aerospace industry, receiving a strong response from attendees.


Governor Gong Youngmin stated, "Goheung is the birthplace and future growth base of Korea's aerospace industry. Taking this Biz Festa as an opportunity, we will enhance tailored support to attract more companies to invest in Goheung and focus our administrative efforts to help Goheung become a global aerospace industry hub."


Meanwhile, an investment presentation targeting companies in the Gwangju and Jeollanam-do regions is scheduled to be held in November.
