Expanding the SSG Day Customer Experience with Limited-Edition Goods
Picnic Performances, ESG Pop-Ups with the Ministry of Climate, Energy, and Environment
Shinsegae Group announced on October 23 that it will offer a variety of engaging customer experience content in collaboration with various external partners, including contests, during the SSG Day event starting on the 30th. Limited-edition SSG Day goods will be given away as prizes, and a range of pop-up stores filled with entertainment will also be held.
First, until the 26th, the group is holding a poetry contest titled "Nationwide SSG Literature Project." Participants can write and submit original poems about their shopping experiences on the SSG Literature website. A total of 52 entries will be selected through a review process, and shopping support funds totaling 13,380,000 won will be awarded. Visitors can also enjoy humorous sample poems written by author Lee Hwanchun on the SSG Literature website.
In addition, Shinsegae has prepared an emotional picnic and cultural performances in partnership with the popular outdoor brand Snow Peak. Starting with the Snow Peak Camp Field near Everland on November 1, the emotional picnic event will take place at Shinsegae Paju Premium Outlet from November 8 to 9. Visitors can enjoy various live performances, talk shows, and events, and also experience Snow Peak's camping gear.
ESG content in collaboration with the Ministry of Climate, Energy, and Environment will also be presented. From October 31 to November 2, the Starfield Market Ilsan branch will host the "Green Magic" pop-up store, where visitors can experience carbon-neutral practices. Everything related to eco-friendly consumption, such as Green Cards, healthy foods, and sustainable packaging, can be experienced, and generous goods will be given away as prizes.
On November 1, broadcaster Tyler and Nidhi, along with WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature), will host the "Romantic Talk Show" about sustainable food. On November 2, the "Romantic Food Show," an eco-friendly cooking show with popular chefs Lim Heewon and Myung Hyeonji, will be held for pre-registered participants.
During SSG Day, the "Green Magic Campaign," a promotion encouraging eco-friendly consumption with unprecedented benefits worth a total of 200 million won, will also be held. Five companies-Emart, Shinsegae Department Store, SSG.com, Emart24, and Chosun Hotel-will participate, offering prizes worth a total of 100 million won, including Via Shinsegae Canada travel vouchers, Chosun Hotel accommodation vouchers, and company-specific gift certificates, as well as 100 million won in Green Card Eco Money, all awarded through a drawing. Participants can enter through the event pages on the five companies’ websites or the Shinsegae Point app, and must complete designated missions such as purchasing eco-friendly products, issuing mobile receipts, or paying with the Green Card.
In addition, various offline-based group companies such as Starfield, Premium Outlet, and Shinsegae Food have prepared a range of entertainment. Starfield will host events such as the "Supercell Game Tournament," "Character Parade," and the "Wicked: For Good Exclusive Pop-up Store."
From October 30 to November 9, the "Clash Royale Game Tournament" will be held at Starfield Hanam, and the "Brawl Stars Game Tournament" will take place at Starfield Goyang and Anseong branches. The "Wicked Part 2" pop-up store, where visitors can experience major scenes and exclusive goods from the movie Wicked: For Good, will be held at Starfield COEX Mall for about a month starting October 30.
At Shinsegae Paju Premium Outlet, a "SSG Day Charity Bazaar" in partnership with Goodwill Store, worth 100 million won, will be held from November 1 to 2, promoting coexistence and sharing. Various partner companies, including Shinsegae Group brands, will participate, selling popular items such as clothing, accessories, and household goods at special prices, with a portion of the proceeds donated to Goodwill Store.
At Shinsegae Food F&B Devils Door COEX and Central City locations, the "SSGtober Fest" will be held from October 30 to November 9, featuring "1L Lager" and large-sized menu items.
Meanwhile, Shinsegae Group will launch a limited-edition SSG Day version of the popular board game Blue Marble, titled "Blue Marble Shinsegae Travel Edition." This board game, which features Shinsegae's brands and stories, will be available as a prize for participating in events held by 18 different companies.
