No Yongseok, the First Vice Minister of the Ministry of SMEs and Startups, attended the opening ceremony of the '2025 Smart Biz Expo' held at COEX in Gangnam-gu, Seoul, on October 21 and encouraged participating small and medium-sized enterprises.
This event was organized to commemorate the opening of the Samsung Electronics Smart Biz Expo and the 10th anniversary of the Smart Factory Support Project. It aims to spread the achievements of the 'Win-Win Smart Factory Support Project for Large, Medium, and Small Enterprises' to date and to provide new market opportunities for small and medium-sized enterprises.
The Smart Biz Expo will run from today until October 24, with a total of 81 companies participating to showcase their products, hold purchasing consultations, and conduct live commerce sessions.
This year, to mark the 10th anniversary of the Samsung Electronics Smart Factory Support Project, Vice Minister No delivered a lecture titled 'Smart Manufacturing Innovation 3.0 Driven by AI and Win-Win Collaboration' under the theme 'Wings of Innovation in Manufacturing, AI Smart Factory.' Related experts and companies also participated in a conference on adopting manufacturing AI for small and medium-sized enterprises.
On this day, Vice Minister No visited booths set up at the venue to encourage small and medium-sized business owners. He stated, "It is more important than ever for large and small companies to collaborate in order for our SMEs to actively utilize artificial intelligence and enhance their competitiveness," adding, "The Ministry of SMEs and Startups will continue to make efforts to foster an ecosystem for manufacturing innovation."
