Strengthening City Support for a "Safe Childcare City, Gumi"
A Gathering of Unity for Over 800 Childcare Staff and Families
Gratitude for Dedication and Passion... Comfort Through Awards Ceremony and Celebratory Performances
On October 16, Gumi City in North Gyeongsang Province held the "2025 Gumi City Childcare Workers Unity Festival" at Gumo Land, organized by the Gumi City Association of Daycare Centers.
Approximately 800 people, including childcare staff and their families, attended the event, enjoying a time of unity and encouragement.
The festival featured an awards ceremony to express gratitude to staff members who contributed to the advancement of childcare, as well as celebratory performances to comfort childcare workers weary from their daily routines.
This meaningful occasion served to strengthen exchange and cooperation among childcare staff and to expand communication in the field.

Currently, Gumi City operates about 263 daycare centers for approximately 16,700 infants and young children, the highest number in North Gyeongsang Province.
More than 2,800 childcare staff are working on site to ensure the happy growth of children, and the city is providing high-quality childcare services with the goal of making Gumi a safe and reliable city for childcare.
Kim Jangho, Mayor of Gumi, stated, "I would like to express my deep gratitude to all childcare workers who are dedicated to children despite the challenging circumstances of low birth rates," adding, "The city will spare no administrative support to create a safe and trustworthy childcare environment."
