Kang Kitae, CEO of B&K, Appointed as Inaugural Chairman
Expected to Serve as a Bridge for Cooperation Between Businesses and Tax Authorities
Meeting Held with Lee Inhee, Head of Sejong Tax Office, as a Guest
The Sejong Chamber of Commerce and Industry (hereinafter referred to as Sejong CCI) officially launched the "Sejong CCI Tax Communication Subcommittee" on the 17th, with more than 20 local business leaders in attendance. The Tax Communication Subcommittee was established to facilitate communication on tax-related issues and to promote the rights and interests of member companies. Its functions will include making policy proposals and suggestions on tax issues, collecting and discussing solutions for difficulties faced by member companies, and fostering exchanges and joint projects among members.
Kim Jindong, Chairman of Sejong CCI, stated, "The tax environment is a very important factor in business operations," adding, "The Tax Communication Subcommittee will serve as a communication channel to help Sejong CCI resolve tax-related challenges faced by local businesses, and we will do our best to fulfill this role."
On this day, Kang Kitae, CEO of B&K Co., Ltd., was appointed as the chairman of the Tax Communication Subcommittee, while Jung Sunju, CEO of Cheong ENG Architects & Engineers, was appointed as vice chairman.
In addition, Kim Yoonjung, Chairman of Dongyang AK Korea Co., Ltd., and Shin Gyuchul, CEO of Samwoo Knife Ceramic, were appointed as advisors, while Park Jaepil, CEO of Dongwon Yuji Co., Ltd., was appointed as secretary general, completing the executive team.
Kang Kitae, Chairman of the Tax Communication Subcommittee, commented, "Close communication between tax authorities and businesses will be a crucial foundation for the stable growth of companies. We will share the difficulties that companies experience amid changes in tax administration and actively convey voices from the field in pursuit of rational institutional improvements."
A meeting was also held with Lee Inhee, head of the Sejong Tax Office, as a guest. The session began with explanations such as "Tax Information Useful for CEOs" by Kim Malsook, head of the Property and Corporate Tax Department at the Sejong Tax Office, followed by a time for communication to listen to difficulties and suggestions from companies regarding tax-related issues in the field.
Lee Inhee, head of the Sejong Tax Office, stated, "Even in a challenging economic environment, I will always listen to voices from the field so that business leaders can actively conduct their operations. In addition to strengthening communication with companies, I will make efforts to provide proactive tax support so that businesses can operate with peace of mind."
