Previously, disabled call taxis had to go through a daily visitor registration process to enter apartment complexes, which delayed entry and required users to walk to the vehicle's location to board. With this agreement, disabled call taxis will now be able to automatically pass through the entrance barrier and enter the apartment complex without delay.

Once the automatic access service is implemented, all disabled call taxi license plate numbers will be registered in the parking control system, allowing for quick entry and exit. As a result, users will be able to board directly in front of the main entrance, significantly improving operational efficiency.

Kim Gwangdeok, Director of the Gyeonggi Provincial Transportation Bureau, stated, "We expect the convenience of special transportation for the transportation disadvantaged to improve significantly, and we will continue to do our best to enhance mobility rights for those in need."

Minkyung Sun, President of Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation, also commented, "With this agreement, transportation-disadvantaged individuals will be able to board more quickly and conveniently near their residences, leading to higher satisfaction. We will continue to enhance the practical convenience of disabled call taxis."

Ji Youngil, President of the Gyeonggi Chapter of the Korea Housing Managers Association, said, "We will ensure there is no inconvenience by keeping vehicle numbers updated at all times." Kim Hyeonggi, Head of the Gyeonggi Branch of the National Apartment Residents' Representatives Council Federation, also stated, "We will actively promote this positive policy and work to gain the consent of residents."

Since July 2024, Gyeonggi Transportation Corporation has established an integrated dispatch system for all 31 cities and counties in Gyeonggi Province, significantly reducing user wait times. It also became the first in the country to introduce an AI call center for metropolitan mobility support services, effectively reducing call wait times during morning rush hours.

Additionally, in June, the corporation signed an agreement with Gyeonggi Provincial Medical Center to improve the issuance process for temporary wheelchair user certificates. It has been pursuing various policies to enhance transportation convenience for the mobility disadvantaged and plans to continue improving and innovating its services.
