Gyeonggi Province Corporation's Offline Distribution Support Project
Special Promotion Events for SME Products with Lotte Mart and Kim's Club
Nationwide Promotional Campaign with Lotte Mart Boosts Brand Awareness
Gyeonggi Province and Gyeonggi Province Corporation announced on October 16 that their offline distribution support project for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in the province has achieved approximately 12 billion KRW (about 12 billion won) in transaction volume this year.
Since March of this year, Gyeonggi Province Corporation has held a total of seven offline win-win special promotion events with major retail channels Lotte Mart and Kim's Club (two times at Lotte Mart, five times at Kim's Club), selling more than 1,500 products from 180 local companies.
The offline distribution support project is part of the 2025 SME marketing support program operated by Gyeonggi Province Corporation on behalf of Gyeonggi Province. To expand distribution channels for outstanding SMEs, Gyeonggi Province Corporation has been organizing offline promotional events with Kim's Club since 2023 and with Lotte Mart since 2024.
During the win-win special promotion events with Kim's Club, about 20 types of products-including agricultural goods, food, and kitchenware from local companies-were sold at discounts of up to 50%, attracting consumer attention and generating approximately 7.2 billion KRW in transaction volume.
Two large-scale promotional events were held with Lotte Mart in May and July, where around 500 types of home and living products from local companies were also offered at 50% discounts, resulting in 4.8 billion KRW in transaction volume. Notably, Lotte Mart branches nationwide participated in the events, further boosting brand awareness for Gyeonggi Province companies.
Lee Jaejun, CEO of Gyeonggi Province Corporation, said, "I am delighted that, together with major distribution channels, we have been able to widely promote and help open up new markets for excellent products from local companies." He added, "We will continue to achieve remarkable results in other support projects, just as we have with offline distribution support, to help drive the growth of our companies for the remainder of this year."
