"I Will Do My Best to Convey Public Voices and Communicate Party Policies"
The Democratic Party announced on the 16th that it has newly formed the Central Party Deputy Spokesperson team to strengthen nationwide policy communication, and that Jo Dongjun, former chairman of the Seocheon County Council from Seocheon, South Chungcheong Province, has been appointed as a Central Party Deputy Spokesperson.
Deputy Spokesperson Jo is expected to serve as a "communication channel" that connects the ruling party's policy vision with public sentiment on the national stage, going beyond local politics.
The Central Party Deputy Spokesperson is responsible for conveying the party’s major policies and vision to the public, as well as reflecting the voices from local communities to the Central Party.
Deputy Spokesperson Jo stated, "As a political bridge connecting the Central Party and local communities, I will actively deliver the vivid public sentiment from the field."
He added, "In the midst of a turbulent political situation caused by Yoon Suk-yeol's attempt at martial law and rebellion, the success of the Democratic Party and the Lee Jaemyung administration must lead to a new leap forward for the Republic of Korea. Although my role may be small, I will become a sincere Deputy Spokesperson who connects the people and the party through genuine communication."

Deputy Spokesperson Jo served as a member of the 7th and 8th Seocheon County Council and was the chairman during the first half of the 8th council.
He has also been active in various political roles bridging local and central politics, including serving as Vice Chairman of the Democratic Party Policy Committee, Vice Chairman of the Euljiro Committee, and Policy Advisory Member of the Presidential Committee on Autonomy and Decentralization.
Within and outside political circles, there are expectations that Deputy Spokesperson Jo’s appointment will serve as an opportunity to actively convey the voices of Seocheon and the southern region of South Chungcheong Province to the Central Party.
In particular, as someone with both local council experience and policy expertise, he is expected to contribute to linking solutions for local issues with the Central Party’s policies.
