Ginseng Consumption Promotion Event to Be Held in Celebration of 'Geumsan Ginseng Day'

Geumsan County will hold a ginseng consumption promotion event on October 23 to commemorate 'Geumsan Ginseng Day' and boost the consumption of ginseng and medicinal herbs.

Earlier this year, the county designated October 23 as Geumsan Ginseng Day to elevate the global status of Geumsan ginseng.

The commemorative event will take place at 6:40 p.m. at the Geumsan Sports Complex, beginning with a pre-event ceremony, followed by the introduction of distinguished guests, an opening address, congratulatory remarks, a special performance, and a spectacular celebratory concert hosted by comedian Lee Changmyung, featuring popular singers such as Park Seojin, Kim Euyeong, Kang Yesul, Kwak Younggwang, Cho Seunggu, and Cho Eunha.

The Geumsan Ginseng consumption promotion event will be held for five days from October 22 to 26 in the Geumsan Ginseng and Medicinal Herb Market area.

During the event, customers who purchase fresh ginseng, medicinal herbs, or processed ginseng products will receive Geumsan Love Gift Certificates to encourage ginseng consumption. Customers who spend between 30,000 and 100,000 won or more will receive gift certificates ranging from 5,000 to 20,000 won.

Kim Jiheon, head of the Ginseng and Medicinal Herb Policy Division, said, "We hope this event will widely promote the excellence of Geumsan ginseng and contribute to revitalizing the local economy," adding, "As we have prepared exciting performances and consumption promotion activities, we ask for your interest and participation."
