Grade 1 Recovery Rate at 77.5%, Grade 2 at 54.4%
Yun Ho-jung: "Grade 1 and 2 Systems to Be Restored Within This Month"
43.6% of the systems that had been halted due to the National Information Resources Service fire have been restored.
According to the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, as of 9 a.m. on October 15, 309 out of 709 systems had been normalized, resulting in a recovery rate of 43.6%.
Three additional systems were restored since 9 p.m. the previous day, bringing the total from 306 to 309. These include the Integrated Relay and Monitoring System of the Office for Government Policy Coordination (Grade 4), the Research Institute Work Support System of the Ministry of Science and ICT (Grade 4), and the Mining Registration Office website of the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy (Grade 3). However, for the Mining Registration Office website, some linked services such as online mining rights issuance and mining rights application forms are still unavailable.
Of the 40 Grade 1 systems, 31 have been restored, resulting in a recovery rate of 77.5%. The recovery rate for Grade 2 systems is 54.4%, for Grade 3 systems 47.1%, and for Grade 4 systems 34.7%. The government has announced a policy to prioritize the restoration of Grade 1 and Grade 2 systems, which have the most users.
Minister of the Interior and Safety, Yun Ho-jung, stated at the National Assembly audit the previous day, "The goal is to restore Grade 1 and Grade 2 systems by the end of this month, and to complete the restoration of the completely destroyed 7-1 data center system by around the 20th of next month."
