Leading the Way in Promoting a Fair and Transparent Contract Culture
On October 13, the Gumi Office of Education in North Gyeongsang Province (headed by Min Byungdo) held the "2025 Gumi Office of Education Integrity Contract Workshop" for school staff responsible for contract work at schools within its jurisdiction. The workshop took place in the multipurpose auditorium on the first floor of the new Gumi Office of Education building.
This training was organized to enhance transparency and fairness in contract work conducted at schools, as well as to strengthen the expertise of those in charge.
This year, the scope of participants was expanded to include contract staff from private schools. In addition, Jo Yangje, the operator of the "Practical Budget and Accounting" online community, was invited again following last year to deliver a practical lecture tailored to the needs of school contract work.
The Gumi Office of Education expects that this Integrity Contract Workshop will help contract staff proactively prevent potential irregularities and corruption in their work processes, and will make a significant contribution to establishing a culture of integrity in their work environment.
Min Byungdo, the head of the Office of Education, stated, "Integrity is fundamental to education, and transparency and fairness must be upheld even in the smallest contracts." He added, "We will continue to promote integrity education in collaboration with the field to realize a trustworthy education system in Gumi."
