Siheung Conducts Preference Survey on Geobukseom Nightscape Lighting Name Until the 19th

Five Candidate Names Selected Through Contest

Starting from October 10 until October 19, the city of Siheung in Gyeonggi Province will conduct a preference survey on the name for the 'Geobukseom Nightscape Lighting'.

This preference survey will be conducted based on the results of a naming contest held last month. The selection committee has shortlisted five candidate names, and the public will choose their favorite among them.

The candidate names are: Turtle Beam, Turtle Light, Turtle Eye, Geobuk Star Light, and Turtle Aurora. The city plans to select the final name by reflecting the results of this preference survey.

Anyone can participate in the survey. Those interested can join via the Naver Form survey link or by scanning the QR code on the related poster.

The final name will be announced on October 23 through the city’s official social networking service (SNS), reflecting the survey results. Five participants will be randomly selected to receive a handheld fan worth 25,000 won as a prize.

Lim Byeongtaek, Mayor of Siheung, said, "I hope that with the active participation of the public in voting, the official name of the Geobukseom Nightscape Lighting will be decided, making Geobukseom even more meaningful and approachable."
