This competition was hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government and sponsored by the Spatial Information Industry Association, Korea Land and Geospatial Informatix Corporation (LX), and the Spatial Information Industry Promotion Agency. It was organized to enhance the surveying performance inspection skills and civil service capabilities of cadastral work staff, as well as to strengthen their professional competencies. A total of 75 participants, forming 25 teams with three representatives from each district, competed in terms of accuracy, speed, and collaboration in surveying.
Cadastral surveying is the process of determining the boundaries, coordinates, and area of a parcel of land to register it in cadastral records or to restore already registered boundary points on the ground. It is a crucial step in establishing land ownership.
The Eunpyeong-gu team secured first place by achieving outstanding results in all evaluation categories, thanks to thorough preparation and strong teamwork. With this achievement, Eunpyeong-gu will represent Seoul at the National Cadastral Survey Competition scheduled for 2026.
Kim Mikyung, Mayor of Eunpyeong-gu, stated, “This accomplishment is the result of our employees’ expertise and dedication. We will continue to protect residents’ property rights and build trust in our administration through accurate cadastral surveying.”
