Sejong Mayor Minho Choi: "Preventing Incidents and Accidents During the Holiday Is the Top Priority"

Minho Choi, Mayor of Sejong City, visited the police and fire departments to offer encouragement ahead of the holiday season.

On October 2, Mayor Choi visited the Hansol Police Substation under the Southern Police Station of the Sejong Police Agency and the Southern Fire Station of the Sejong Fire Headquarters. He reviewed the safety measures for the holiday period and expressed his gratitude to the police and fire personnel who work diligently on-site to ensure the safety of citizens.

This visit was arranged to inspect the safety situation ahead of the Chuseok holiday and to listen to the concerns of those working to maintain public order.

During his visit to the Hansol Police Substation, Mayor Choi received a briefing on the safety management status for the Chuseok holiday and held a meeting with on-site personnel. At the meeting, he said, "I am grateful to those working on the front lines for the safety of citizens, especially since you cannot properly rest during every holiday," and added, "I will strive to further improve the welfare of police and fire personnel working on-site."

Mayor Choi then visited the Southern Fire Station of Sejong, where he listened to the 119 safety measures for the holiday period and had an open conversation with on-site personnel.

He stated, "With the Sejong Hangeul Festival and various other events taking place during the Chuseok holiday, these safety measures are even more important," and requested, "Please make every effort to prevent incidents and accidents during the holiday, utilizing your experience and data."

He also delivered snacks to the staff at the Hansol Police Substation and the Southern Fire Station of Sejong, asking them to do their utmost to prevent safety accidents and minimize inconvenience for citizens during the holiday period.
