According to Yonhap News Agency, an official from Incheon International Airport Corporation stated, "Arriving at the airport three hours before your flight is more than sufficient today."

A total of 239,000 people are expected to use Incheon Airport on this day, which is likely to set a new record for the highest number of passengers in its history.

The union representing security screening staff withdrew its plan to refuse additional shifts, and even during the busy morning hours, security checks took about 15 minutes.

Currently, workers at Incheon Airport's subsidiaries are on an indefinite strike demanding better working conditions, but there have been no significant delays or disruptions to passenger flights.

Incheon International Airport Corporation designated the holiday period as a special transportation countermeasure period and increased both the number of X-ray machines in the departure hall and the number of security screening staff.

The security screening staff union had initially planned to refuse additional shifts in solidarity with other subsidiary workers on strike, but reached an agreement with management to work extra shifts the previous day.

A union representative stated, "Current issues, including union repression, will be discussed between labor and management at a later date."

Since October 1, workers at airport subsidiaries responsible for environmental cleaning, traffic management, fire safety, and mechanical facilities at Incheon Airport and 14 other airports nationwide have been on strike.
