Participating in ICT Week Uzbekistan 2025 Held in Tashkent
Gyeongbuk Technopark (President Ha Inseong, Gyeongbuk TP) announced on October 2 that it participated in ICT Week Uzbekistan 2025, held in Tashkent from the 23rd to the 26th of last month. During the event, Gyeongbuk TP operated the Korea-Uzbekistan BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) Forum and the Korean Pavilion, achieving tangible cooperation results.
The event was attended by Won Do-yeon, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Uzbekistan, who demonstrated strong interest in expanding ICT exchanges between the two countries. Mutalov Zohiriddin, Head of the Presidential Department for the Development of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, and Rustam Karimjonov, Vice Minister of Digital Technologies of Uzbekistan, both delivered welcome speeches emphasizing the importance of strengthening cooperation.

Additionally, Shin Myungseop, Head of the KOICA Uzbekistan Office, received a plaque of appreciation from the Uzbekistan Ministry of Digital Technologies in recognition of the achievements of the IT Park capacity-building project, further symbolizing the spirit of cooperation.
The Korea Pavilion at ICT Week 2025 featured five resident companies from IT Park (Hancom Academy, NEVONA, Wisestone T, Korea Business Alliance, Turin AKITA Trust), as well as nine Korean companies interested in entering the Uzbek market.
The participating companies were Motivr, RGB LAB, Verywords, Bizdata, SILLA System, IGIS, Jegwang Industrial, Hankyul Technics, and HANS Media. They showcased technologies in various fields, including smart manufacturing, AI-based services, digital education, and content production, and engaged in active discussions for collaboration with local companies.
At the Korea-Uzbekistan BPO Forum, interim results of the open innovation pilot project supported by KOICA were also presented.
This pilot project involves Korean companies such as Ajin Industry, Verywords, and Sihagi Planning, who are working together with IT Park resident companies to achieve practical BPO matching. The project has produced various cooperation outcomes, including ERP implementation, digital marketing, and BPO platform operation.
During the exhibition period, a total of approximately 150 one-on-one consultations were held, with the total value of consultations reaching about 8 million US dollars.
Furthermore, eight MOUs were signed between IT Park and companies, and two MOUs were signed between IT Park and associations (Daegu-Gyeongbuk ICT Association (DGICT) and Korea IT Business Women’s Association (KIBWA) Yeongnam Branch), further strengthening the institutional foundation for ICT cooperation between the two countries.
Ha Inseong, President of Gyeongbuk TP, stated, "Gyeongbuk Technopark has built a relationship of trust with Uzbekistan through more than ten years of cooperation. For the sustainable development of the recipient country, the role of companies is just as important as that of the government."
He added, "Gyeongbuk Technopark serves as a bridge connecting Korean companies and recipient countries through international development cooperation projects. In particular, the IT Park capacity-building project in Uzbekistan has contributed to enhancing the capabilities of IT Park staff and resident companies, laying the foundation for the sustainable growth of the local ICT industry. Gyeongbuk Technopark will continue to support even closer business cooperation between companies from both countries in the future."
