The Energy New Industry Innovation Convergence College Project Group at Pusan National University, which is carrying out the Advanced Field Innovation Convergence College Project, signed a business agreement with Busan Green Energy on September 29 at the Westin Chosun Busan. The agreement was made in collaboration with project groups from Kangwon National University, Chonbuk National University, Konkuk University, Yeungnam University, and Jeonju Vision University, with the aim of fostering innovative talent in the energy and eco-friendly sectors.

The Advanced Field Innovation Convergence College Project is supported by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea. It breaks down boundaries between universities and allows students to take courses in 18 advanced fields-including energy new industries and eco-up-regardless of their department.
The project group at Pusan National University is developing and operating specialized curricula and programs in the energy new industry sector.
Busan Green Energy, the partner institution in this agreement, is a leading eco-friendly energy company that operates the largest fuel cell power facility in an urban area in Korea. The company is contributing to alleviating the national financial burden and promoting regional coexistence by expanding the supply of renewable energy and providing district heating services.
This agreement was jointly participated in by the energy new industry project groups at Pusan National University, Kangwon National University, and Chonbuk National University, as well as the eco-up project groups at Konkuk University, Yeungnam University, and Jeonju Vision University. Each project group plans to combine its educational content with Busan Green Energy’s industry-academia cooperation network to develop talent cultivation programs with practical field applicability and effectiveness, and to promote various exchanges and joint projects.
Oh Jinwoo, head of the Energy New Industry Innovation Convergence College Project Group at Pusan National University and professor in the Department of Nano Energy Engineering, stated, "The climate crisis and energy transition are no longer optional but essential tasks. Through this agreement, we will bring together the capabilities and visions of each institution to establish a strong cooperative system that can lead the era of energy transition."
