▲World Share Launches Educational Support Campaign for Maasai Children in Kenya
World Share is launching a campaign titled "School is the Only Hope for Languna" to help Maasai children in Kenya continue their education.
This campaign was inspired by the story of a 12-year-old boy named Languna, whom Ambassador Yoo Sun met during a recent visit to Kenya. Growing up in the Maasai Mara village, Languna walks two hours round-trip to attend school every day. Despite helping with chores like fetching water and collecting firewood, he dreams of becoming a lawyer to protect his family.
Through this campaign, World Share aims to support students at Mara Silalei Academy in the Maasai Mara region by providing school supplies, educational programs, and tuition, as well as improving the poor educational environment.
Ambassador Yoo Sun, who met Languna in person, said, "It broke my heart to see Languna living bravely in an environment without clean water or electricity," adding, "I hope we can deliver warm hope so that children can continue to dream even in such difficult conditions."

World Vision (Chairman Cho Myunghwan) held the '2025 Yeouido Plogging Day' on September 28 in the Yeouido Hangang Park area of Seoul. Participants took the lead in environmental protection by cleaning up the Han River Park, which was polluted with trash left behind after the Yeouido Fireworks Festival. The amount of trash collected filled 10 100-liter garbage bags, indicating a significant volume.
This event was co-hosted by local curator Hwang Inho, who runs the 'Yeouido Tasty' Instagram account, his followers, the community 'Rounders' which promotes inclusive relationships, and the World Vision supporter community 'Orange Farm.' 'Yeouido Plogging Day' has been continuously organized by Hwang Inho since 2023, taking place the day after the Yeouido Fireworks Festival each year. Last year, the event grew in scale with the participation of the 'Rounders' community, and this year, with the addition of the World Vision supporter group 'Orange Farm,' the number of participants expanded to about 70 people.
