"We Will Establish a Three-Step Review Process"
"Will Donate to Independence Activists as an Apology"
Shuka (real name Jeon Seokjae), the operator of the economic YouTube channel "Shuka World," which has 3.6 million subscribers, apologized for using a doctored World Health Organization (WHO) logo intended to mock former President Roh Moo-hyun.

On September 29, in the comments section of the video titled "35 Billion Dollars, Is Cash Payment Possible?" uploaded to YouTube, Shuka stated, "During this week's live broadcast, an unfortunate incident occurred in which a maliciously manipulated image was aired," and added, "The image was so cleverly altered that our research team failed to catch the issue during both the first and second rounds of review."
He continued, "I apologize for any discomfort this may have caused," and emphasized, "From now on, we will assign a dedicated staff member for verification, establish a three-step review process, and conduct even more thorough checks."
Shuka further stated, "As a gesture of apology, I will donate 30 million won to the Korean Red Cross's campaign supporting the descendants of independence activists," bowing his head once again.
The previous day, while discussing cases of the Trump administration withdrawing from international organizations during a Shuka World live broadcast, Shuka displayed the logos of UNESCO and WHO on screen. However, the image he used was not the official WHO logo but a doctored image that combined the face of former President Roh, a skate fish, and a dog.
This image is presumed to have been produced and distributed by the far-right online community Ilgan Best (Ilbe). As the controversy grew, Shuka World deleted the video from the channel.

This is not the first time Shuka has faced controversy for using inappropriate images or materials during a live broadcast. In July, Shuka sparked controversy by using a map labeled "Sea of Japan" during a live broadcast.
Regarding this, Shuka said, "It was a mistake that happened because I used Japanese sources, and it is 100% my fault," adding, "This mistake is something I cannot forgive myself for, and I sincerely apologize for causing concern to so many people."
Shuka stated, "The East Sea is the East Sea, and Dokdo is, of course, our territory," and announced, "As an expression of my apology, I will immediately donate 30 million won to the Korean Red Cross's 'Support for Descendants of Independence Activists' campaign."
