Yeoju City to Open Chuseok Direct Market for Agricultural and Specialty Products on October 1

Yeoju City in Gyeonggi Province will operate a direct market for agricultural and specialty products to celebrate the 2025 Chuseok holiday. The market will be held for two days, from October 1 to October 2, in the main entrance parking lot of Yeoju City Hall.

This market has been organized to provide local farmers with a stable sales channel and to give citizens the opportunity to purchase fresh, high-quality agricultural products from Yeoju at reasonable prices. In particular, by allowing farmers to sell their carefully cultivated products directly, the distribution process is shortened, and consumers are expected to be able to purchase holiday gifts at affordable prices.

The event venue will feature a wide variety of Yeoju’s specialty products, including apples, pears, chestnuts, assorted grain sets, Kalopanax sap, wild ginseng, and sweet potatoes, all available at direct market prices. Furthermore, the city plans to operate the market not only as a sales event but also as an opportunity to promote the excellence of local agricultural products and to establish it as a platform for urban-rural cooperation.
