Jung Garam has secured his fourth career victory.

On September 28, at Ferrum Club in Yeoju, Gyeonggi Province (par 72, 7,330 yards), Jung shot a 2-under-par 70 in the fourth round of the Hyundai Marine & Fire Insurance Choi Kyungjoo Invitational on the Korea Professional Golfers' Association (KPGA) Tour, which has a total prize fund of 1.25 billion won. He clinched a come-from-behind win by one stroke with a total score of 14-under-par 274. This marks his fourth tour victory, coming one year and three months after his last win at the KPGA Championship in June of the previous year. Jung, who got married in December last year, received the winner's prize of 250 million won.

Starting the day in second place, one shot behind the leader, Jung carded four birdies and two bogeys. The round was disrupted due to rain, causing a suspension of play for one hour and 50 minutes from 10:40 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The competition was highly contested until the very end, with Jung, Kim Baekjoon, and Lee Taehun all tied for the lead at 13-under-par. There was a real possibility that the winner might not be determined within regulation play.

Sunset was at 6:19 p.m., and Jung reached the final hole's green at around 6:03 p.m. If the three players had gone into a playoff, it would have been difficult to complete the match. Although a playoff seemed likely, Jung sank a 2.5-meter birdie putt on the par-5 18th hole, dashing the hopes of Lee Taehun and Kim Baekjoon, who were waiting for extra holes.

Kim Baekjoon and Lee Taehun (Canada) shared second place at 13-under-par 275. Choi Seungbin finished fourth at 12-under-par 276, while Song Minhyeok and Kim Woohyun tied for fifth at 11-under-par 277. Kim Jonghak, who led after the previous round, dropped to a tie for 19th at 5-under-par 283 after losing eight strokes. Ok Taehun, who leads in Genesis points and prize money, tied for 42nd at even-par 288, and last year’s champion Lee Sumin finished tied for 59th at 7-over-par 295. The tournament host, Choi Kyungjoo, missed the cut the previous day.
