The Gumi City Various Committees Status Analysis Research Group is led by Assemblyman Kim Minseong and consists of Assembly members Jang Mikyung, Heo Mingun, Kim Chunnam, Lee Myeonghee, and Kim Jeongdo. Around 40 people attended the event, including members of the research group, staff from the city council secretariat, and committee officials from Gumi City Hall, engaging in active discussions.

Additionally, Kang Youngjoo, a research fellow at the Korea Research Institute for Local Administration, delivered a special lecture presenting strategies to strengthen the diversity and expertise of committee members, as well as ways to improve committee operations by utilizing digital technology.

Representative Assemblyman Kim Minseong pointed out, "Currently, most committees focus only on written deliberations, which means the voices from the field are not being reflected." He added, "We will seek various measures to enhance the effectiveness of committee operations, such as expanding the participation of future generations including children, adolescents, and young adults, and institutionalizing mandatory on-site visits for committee members."
