Yeongju City to Host 'Baekdudaegan Regional Coexistence Forest Healing Expo'

An Autumn Forest Festival Blending Forest Healing, Culture, and Wellness

Yeongju City will host the 2025 Baekdudaegan Regional Coexistence Forest Healing Expo from September 26 to 27 at the National Forest Healing Center and its surrounding area.

This expo, themed "An Autumn Festival Enjoyed in the Forest," will showcase a variety of content combining forest healing, culture, and wellness. The event aims to revitalize the local economy through the forest healing industry while offering a rich program to help citizens and participants relieve everyday stress.

The event is organized by the National Forest Healing Center and co-hosted by Gyeongsangbuk-do Province and Yeongju City. It will feature specialized programs such as indoor healing equipment experiences and water healing sessions, along with side events that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

On the main stage, there will be a forest cultural performance featuring Won Jonghyuk and Stella Jang, a romantic Starlight Night in the Forest, a Green Talk Concert with YouTuber Jeongbeureu, and a citizen participation program called "Forest Janggu, Please." These programs will offer opportunities to experience forest welfare services up close.

Additionally, there will be forest yoga and beginner-level Nordic walking programs for adults, as well as hands-on activities for children and family visitors such as forest busking (magic and balloon shows), bracelet, necklace, and fan making, and creating natural object art. Other programs include carbon neutrality education and a "Forestnic" program, allowing participants to enjoy both environmental awareness and relaxation.

Kim Duseop, head of the Forest Division, stated, "We expect this expo to widely promote the healing effects of forests and to greatly contribute to the expansion and revitalization of the forest healing industry. We hope visitors will enjoy various forest healing cultural contents and find rest for both body and mind."
