The Culture Nuri Card is a cultural welfare voucher supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Arts & Culture Education Service. It provides 140,000 won annually to basic livelihood security recipients and the near-poor aged six and above, enabling them to use it for cultural, arts, travel, and sports activities.
Generally, the Culture Nuri Card cannot be used for food and beverage purchases. However, during special events such as local festivals, it can be used at registered temporary merchants in order to expand cultural enjoyment opportunities and enhance user convenience.
At this festival, eight food booths and three food trucks have been designated as temporary merchants, allowing visitors to conveniently use their Culture Nuri Cards. In particular, each booth will display a "Culture Nuri Card Merchant" sticker, making it easy for anyone to identify participating merchants.
Baek Kyunghyun, Mayor of Guri City, said, "I hope this festival will be an opportunity for all citizens to fully enjoy the essence of autumn, and I look forward to everyone experiencing a variety of foods and entertainment without burden."
Meanwhile, Guri City also plans to operate temporary Culture Nuri Card merchants at the "2025 Guri Light Festival," which will be held for 69 days from October 18 to December 25 at the Jangja Lake Park area.
