Bithumb announced on the 22nd that it held the awards ceremony for the '2025 Stablecoin Ecosystem Development Support Contest'.
On September 19, Bithumb hosted the awards ceremony for the '2025 Stablecoin Ecosystem Development Support Contest' at the Bithumb Nanum Center in Samseong-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul, and announced the final winning teams. The event was attended by the award-winning teams as well as Bithumb executives and employees, including CEO Lee Jaewon.
In the idea competition category, a total of three teams-Casa, Zkrypto, and ForeDex-were selected through the review process. The grand prize winner receives 100 million won and a special benefit of being introduced through Bithumb's official promotional channels. The excellence award comes with a prize of 70 million won, and the merit award provides 30 million won.
The grand prize went to the Casa team, which presented the 'Kim Biseo' AI ERP automation solution. 'Kim Biseo' was recognized for its high level of innovation, as it automates back office work for small business owners using stablecoins and supports intuitive decision-making through a natural language-based conversational interface.
The excellence award was given to the Zkrypto team, which developed the 'Fineapple' digital asset safe trading platform. The team was recognized for the commercial viability of its token management platform, which is strong in privacy protection and enables compliance with AML regulations and personal data protection.
The merit award went to the ForeDex team, which built a 'Stablecoin Risk Management System'. The team was highly praised for its potential contribution to the stablecoin ecosystem by presenting the possibility of supporting decision-making through an AI-based pre-detection system for depegging.
For the startup investment category, individual investment negotiations are currently underway. Bithumb plans to become a partner in entrepreneurship by providing follow-up support such as investments and business activation support within a total scale of up to 30 billion won, opportunities for corporate establishment and joint founding, VC pitching, and technical and legal consulting.
As sufficient review and discussions with the selected teams are required before signing investment contracts, results are being announced in the order in which individual reviews are completed. Investment negotiations will be conducted individually with the teams selected through this process.
A total of 119 teams participated in the contest, which was held for about three months starting June 20. The enthusiastic participation of undergraduate and graduate students, developers, prospective entrepreneurs, and existing founders from both Korea and abroad demonstrated the high level of interest in the stablecoin ecosystem.
Lee Jaewon, CEO of Bithumb, said, "Through this contest, we were able to discover creative and innovative ideas that will lead the future of the stablecoin ecosystem," adding, "Bithumb will continue to provide strong support so that these teams can achieve tangible results in the market."
