Over 30 Employees from Air Busan and Jin Air
Remove Invasive Species 'Yangmiyeokchwi' at Daejeo Ecological Park

Air Busan, led by CEO Jung Byungseop, carried out activities to remove invasive species as part of its efforts to preserve biodiversity and promote environmental cleanup.

On September 19, more than 30 employees from Air Busan and Jin Air participated in these activities, which took place for about two hours along the Nakdong River area in Daejeo Ecological Park, Gangseo-gu, Busan. They completely uprooted the invasive species 'Yangmiyeokchwi'.

The participants spent meaningful time working to prevent the spread of Yangmiyeokchwi and protect the habitats of native species.

Yangmiyeokchwi releases allelopathic substances that inhibit the growth of surrounding plants, and large individuals grow densely, restricting the living space for other plants. Due to these characteristics, it was designated as an ecosystem-disrupting species by the Ministry of Environment in 2009, and in Busan, it is mainly found along the banks of the Nakdong River.

An Air Busan representative stated, "This environmental cleanup activity was organized as part of our commitment to sustainable management (ESG) and to contribute to the restoration of the local ecosystem," adding, "We will continue to engage in various environmental protection activities and fulfill our corporate social responsibility."
