Gyeonggi Province Launches 'Agri-food Voucher' Support Program in 23 Cities and Counties

Gyeonggi Province is implementing the 'Agri-food Voucher' support program in 23 cities and counties within the province, including Yongin.

The Agri-food Voucher program allows households to purchase fresh domestic agricultural products within a set amount using a voucher card. The vouchers are provided per household and can only be used for designated items and at affiliated stores.

Eligible recipients are households receiving basic livelihood support that include pregnant women, infants, or children under the age of 18, and whose income is at or below 32% of the median income. For a family of four, support is provided up to 100,000 won per month and up to a maximum of 1 million won per year.

However, households that receive the Agri-food Voucher cannot receive overlapping support from the Community Integrated Health Promotion Project (Nutrition Plus) or the Gyeonggi Eco-friendly Agricultural Products Support for Pregnant Women.

Applications can be submitted until December 12 through the Agri-food Voucher website (www.foodvoucher.go.kr), the local community service center in the applicant's district, or the customer support center (1551-0857).

Eligible items include domestic fruits, vegetables, white milk, fresh eggs, meat, grains, and tofu products.

Lee Moonmoo, Director of Agricultural Policy at Gyeonggi Province, said, "I urge all eligible households in the province to make sure to apply by the deadline so that no one misses out on these benefits," adding, "We will continue to expand food welfare support."
