The Hydrogen Ministerial Energy Meeting, first launched in 2018 and now in its seventh year, is a high-level conference where representatives from major countries and international organizations gather to discuss ways to promote the use of hydrogen energy and global cooperation. This year, in conjunction with the 2025 Osaka-Kansai Expo, the Japanese and Brazilian governments co-hosted the 1st Sustainable Fuel Ministerial Meeting alongside the main event.
The meeting, held under the theme of "Creating Demand," brought together ministers and vice ministers from 25 member countries-including Korea, Japan, the European Union, the United Kingdom, and Brazil-as well as representatives from international organizations such as the Asian Development Bank (ADB), the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), and the International Energy Forum (IEF), along with global corporate leaders, to discuss the future direction of energy development.
At this event, Hyundai Motor Group shared various perspectives on raising awareness of the global hydrogen business, promoting the transition to low-carbon industries through international cooperation, and building a sustainable hydrogen ecosystem.
As a founding and co-chair member of the Hydrogen Council, Hyundai Motor Group is collaborating with member companies to expand the global hydrogen ecosystem. Moving forward, the group plans to leverage its value chain capabilities to develop more practical and competitive hydrogen solutions.
