Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism to Open 2025 Tourism Job Festa at aT Center on the 30th

Around 130 Companies from the Tourism Sector to Participate

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on September 17 that, together with the Korea Tourism Organization, the Korea Hotel Association, and other related tourism organizations and groups, it will host the '2025 Tourism Job Festa' at the aT Center in Seocho-gu, Seoul, from September 30 to October 1.

The Ministry stated that this year's event is themed 'My Tourism Career, Taking Off Now!' and aims to support the career development of talents who will lead the tourism industry, as well as to connect them with actual job opportunities in the tourism sector. Reflecting feedback from last year's participant survey, the event will significantly strengthen 'JOB Talk' sessions and career counseling (mentoring) with current tourism professionals. In addition, new programs will be introduced, including hands-on tourism job experience activities and company visits to tourism workplaces after the event.

This year, approximately 130 companies from various sectors-including travel agencies, hotels and resorts, MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions, Exhibitions) companies, tourism ventures, travel platforms, and theme parks-will participate. A new 'National Tourism Job Network Zone' will be established, jointly operated by the Korea Tourism Organization Job Center, Regional Tourism Enterprise Support Centers, and local government economic promotion agencies, to provide tourism job support services nationwide, not just in the Seoul metropolitan area. There will also be an overseas employment section to further expand job opportunities for job seekers.

In addition to the on-site event, an online event has been running through the official website since August 12. Until November 14, information that job seekers want to know-such as job roles, employment types, and employee benefits at recruiting companies-will be provided. Job seekers can register their application documents in advance and participate in online and offline interviews and recruitment consultations with their desired companies. Offline interviews will be held at the 'Festa' site, while online interviews will be conducted individually according to each company's hiring process.

At the on-site event, participants can attend recruitment briefings by major companies and experience roles such as hotel staff, cabin crew, and smartphone photographers. Employment support programs will also be available, including AI-based aptitude tests and mock video interviews, AI profile photography, resume guidance in Korean, English, Japanese, and Chinese, and mock interviews for job counseling. The Ministry stated that even those who did not register in advance through the official website will be supported in connecting with participating companies on-site.

Additional programs include special lectures by Kang Hayoung, a train engineer at KORAIL, travel content creator Kimstravel (author Kim Youngsoo), and Soytheworld (author Lee Soyeon), who transitioned from a labor attorney to a travel content creator. There will also be a 'Tourism Industry Job Creation Idea Contest,' a 'Tourism Interpretation Contest,' a 'Student Casino Dealing Contest,' and small-group counseling sessions with current professionals, all designed for prospective talents.

Kim Geunho, Director-General for Tourism Industry Policy at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, stated, "For the tourism industry to become a driving force for our economy, it is important to build a solid talent base for the sector," adding, "Through this expo, we hope companies will find outstanding talent and job seekers will be able to work in the tourism industry."
