Theatre Critics Association to Hold Annual Symposium on the 19th to Discuss "Welfare for Theater Professionals"

The Korean Association of Theatre Critics announced on September 12, 2025, that it will hold its 2025 annual symposium at 4:00 p.m. on September 19 at Seminar Room 311 of the Sangmyung University Daehakro Art & Design Center.

This symposium will discuss ways in which theater and Korean society can further develop through welfare, under the theme "Welfare for Theater, by Theater, of Theater - Welfare for Theater Professionals, Audiences, and Society."

The association stated that, as global interest in K-culture continues to grow, it is necessary to focus on and support the fine arts that form its foundation. The symposium will address the current state of legislation and areas for improvement in this regard. In addition, the efforts and achievements of the Korean Theater Professionals Welfare Foundation, as well as welfare issues encompassing audiences, actors, artists, and staff, will also be discussed.
