On September 12, the KOSPI started the session by breaking its all-time high.
As of 9:15 a.m. that day, the KOSPI stood at 3,368.69, up 24.49 points (0.73%) from the previous trading day. The index opened at 3,374.65, a 0.91% increase from the previous day.

With this, the KOSPI surpassed both the previous day's intraday all-time high of 3,344.70 and the all-time closing high of 3,344.20 within just one day, achieving a new record for three consecutive trading sessions.
Individual investors are net sellers of 207.5 billion won, but foreign investors and institutions are net buyers of 189.1 billion won and 25.5 billion won, respectively, driving the index upward.
By sector, semiconductors and semiconductor equipment (2.95%), food (2.47%), and IT (1.36%) are on the rise, while electric utilities (-3.06%), shipbuilding (-1.88%), and building products (-1.08%) are declining.
Among the top KOSPI stocks by market capitalization, Samsung Electronics (1.77%), LG Energy Solution (0.14%), Hanwha Aerospace (0.50%), and KB Financial Group (0.26%) are showing strength. On the other hand, Samsung Biologics (-0.10%), Hyundai Motor (-0.45%), and HD Hyundai Heavy Industries (-1.93%) are showing weakness.
In particular, SK Hynix is up 4.89%, showing strong performance. This is attributed to the company's announcement that it has successfully completed the development of sixth-generation high-bandwidth memory (HBM) products for ultra-high-performance artificial intelligence (AI) and established a mass production system.
The KOSDAQ is at 841.40, up 6.64 points (0.80%) from the previous trading day. By investor type, individuals are leading the rise with net purchases of 22.9 billion won. Foreign investors and institutions are net sellers of 13.5 billion won and 7.2 billion won, respectively.
Among the top KOSDAQ stocks by market capitalization, Alteogen (0.95%), Ecopro BM (1.63%), Peptron (1.77%), and Ecopro (1.65%) are on the rise, while ABL Bio (-0.38%), HLB (-0.89%), and Samchundang Pharm (-1.64%) are showing weakness.
