Kim Jaeseop: "It Seems Jang Donghyuk Has Abandoned Jeon Hangil... The Party Is Moving One Degree to the Left"

"Advised Jeon Hangil to Operate Outside the Party," Asserts Cutoff
"No Sense of Excluding Pro-Han or Chantanpa Factions"

Jae-seop Kim, a member of the People Power Party, commented on Jeon Hangil, a conservative YouTuber and former Korean history lecturer, saying, "You shouldn't feed the parrots of election fraud and enlightenment decrees," and diagnosed, "It seems that Donghyuk Jang, leader of the People Power Party, has also abandoned Jeon Hangil." On the 10th, during an appearance on MBC Radio's 'Kim Jongbae's Focus,' Assemblyman Kim said, "When Donghyuk Jang's leadership began, he stated that he couldn't work with the 'Chantanpa' group, but rather, it seems he is distancing himself from Mr. Jeon, the former Korean history lecturer."

He continued, "It looks like Leader Jang has also abandoned Mr. Jeon. When Jang was first elected, there were even rumors that Mr. Jeon would now take on a key party role. However, I remember that Jang immediately tried to distance himself, even using the term 'volunteer soldier.'" Assemblyman Kim added, "It felt like he was telling Mr. Jeon to operate outside the party, effectively cutting ties. It also seems like he is still refraining from 'feeding' him. Meanwhile, Assemblyman Kyungtae Cho and others from the Chantanpa group have harshly criticized Leader Jang, but there have been no disciplinary actions or referrals to the ethics committee. It appears that he is trying to present a different image compared to the party leadership election."

Regarding the recent situation within the People Power Party, Assemblyman Kim explained, "If politicians keep pandering to far-right YouTubers to beg for votes, it is inevitable that the party as a public institution will be damaged." As for the party's future direction, he said, "With local elections coming up next year, Leader Jang will need to significantly broaden the party's centrist and external appeal, but his various positions in past elections may hold him back. I think the party is in the process of moving one degree to the left, but it probably needs to shift by at least 90 degrees."

Kim Jaeseop: "It Seems Jang Donghyuk Has Abandoned Jeon Hangil... The Party Is Moving One Degree to the Left" Jang Donghyuk, the leader of the People Power Party, is speaking at the Supreme Council meeting held at the National Assembly on the 8th.

Assemblyman Kim also said that it is unlikely Leader Jang will immediately launch an investigation into the party member bulletin board incident, in which former leader Han Donghoon is suspected of being involved. He stated, "I understand the issue was raised during the senior members' meeting. If this is not handled properly, it could become a seed for division. Since we need to fight the Democratic Party, many believe that we should patch things up for now instead of fighting among ourselves," he added.
