This agreement aims to contribute to revitalizing the local economy by developing Jeju’s unique tourism resources into a single content package and promoting them nationwide, as well as actively expanding distribution channels for high value-added local products.

Through this agreement, Shinsegae Department Store will focus on planning premium tourism products, diversifying sales channels for local specialties, and strengthening promotional and marketing efforts centered on storytelling.

To begin with, the company plans to introduce premium travel packages featuring Jeju as the main content. Building on the expertise gained from its own domestic travel program, "Local is Shinsegae," Shinsegae Department Store intends to showcase lesser-known destinations in Jeju with rich history and tradition, along with a variety of local foods.

Before the trip, renowned chefs will explain the history and excellence of local ingredients and offer a preview of the dining menu through a "Preview Dining" experience. After the trip, the entire Jeju journey will be elevated into a special experience through workshops led by top culinary experts and notable figures in Korea.

Jeju’s local ingredients and foods will also be available at Shinsegae Department Store food halls nationwide. The company plans to provide customers with fresh Jeju ingredients at reasonable prices through pop-up events featuring top-quality produce harvested locally, while also supporting efforts to secure nationwide distribution channels.

In addition, Shinsegae Department Store plans to hold art exhibitions themed around famous attractions across the country, including Jeju, and to launch various media campaigns to promote the region.

Park Joohyung, CEO of Shinsegae, stated, "It is very meaningful to join forces with Jeju Special Self-Governing Province, Korea’s leading tourist destination, to help revitalize the local economy. Based on the experience accumulated through our own travel program, Local is Shinsegae, we will do our best to provide new content and contribute to regional development."
