The Korea SMEs and Startups Agency announced on September 8 that approximately 1,300 small and venture businesses participated in the "2025 Korea Global Sourcing Week," where they interacted with domestic and international buyers and expanded their overseas and domestic sales channels.

The event, held over two days on September 4 and 5 at KINTEX Exhibition Center 2 in Ilsan, featured a variety of programs, including export and domestic business consultations, the Excellent Products Exhibition Hall, a promotional booth for small business export policies, and a global e-commerce webinar, all of which received a positive response.

During the export consultation sessions, 715 domestic small and medium-sized enterprises and 110 overseas buyers from 22 countries participated, achieving consultation results worth approximately 170 million dollars (about 241.4 billion won). Major global buyers, such as TJX, a U.S. company with around 5,000 off-price store outlets worldwide, and Azbuka Vkusa, a leading premium supermarket chain in Russia, took part in large numbers, reaffirming the global competitiveness of K-brands.

One hundred eight leading export companies representing key K-strategy items in beauty, food, fashion, and lifestyle showcased their products in showroom-style exhibition halls, allowing direct hands-on experiences. The AI-based digital experience zone inside the exhibition hall enhanced participant engagement by utilizing cutting-edge technologies such as personal color analysis and virtual fitting. In addition, the policy promotion booth for small business support, operated as a side event, provided practical assistance to participating companies by offering one-stop consultations and one-on-one consulting on various support programs, including policy funding, e-commerce, and export vouchers.

Kang Seokjin, Chairman of the Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, stated, "As global trade barriers rise due to protectionism, securing new networks and differentiated competitiveness is essential for the overseas expansion of small and venture businesses. I hope this Sourcing Week, which embraces future values such as AI and eco-friendliness, will serve as an opportunity to showcase the new potential of K-products to the world."
