Deputy Mayor Kim Jehong of Sacheon Visits Gyeongnam Provincial Government to Request Support for Next Year's Transition Projects

Improving the Local Environment,
Expanding Tourism Resources,
and Enhancing Transportation Convenience

Sacheon City in South Gyeongsang Province announced on September 8 that it had visited the Gyeongnam Provincial Government Office to request support for the 2026 transition project.


On this day, Kim Jehong, Deputy Mayor of Sacheon, met with the Director of Planning and Coordination and the Budget Officer at the Gyeongnam Provincial Government Office, emphasizing the necessity of next year's transition project and requesting provincial funding support.

The six major projects, totaling 6.73 billion won, include: ▲ Samcheonpo Rainbow Ecological Trail Construction Project (3 billion won), ▲ Samcheonpo Bridge Landscape Lighting Installation Project (750 million won), ▲ Donggeum-dong Public Parking Lot Construction Project (1.4 billion won), ▲ Songpocheon Ecological Stream Restoration Project (800 million won), ▲ Sacheon River Ecological Stream Restoration Project (700 million won), and ▲ Bito District Small-Scale Drainage Improvement Project (80 million won).


The city expects these projects to bring various benefits, such as improving the local environment, expanding tourism resources, and providing greater transportation convenience.


Deputy Mayor Kim Jehong stated, "These are essential projects for the future growth of Sacheon and the improvement of citizens' lives," and requested, "We ask for the active interest and support of South Gyeongsang Province."


Meanwhile, Sacheon City plans to continue close cooperation with the province and do its utmost to promote citizen-centered regional development.
