Venture Capital Association Successfully Concludes "TIPS to Scaleup IR Day" Event

Networking Between Scaleup TIPS Participants and Operators
Linked with the APEC SME Ministerial Meeting

The Scaleup TIPS Headquarters of the Korea Venture Capital Association (Venture Capital Association) announced on September 8 that it successfully hosted the "2025 TIPS to Scaleup IR Day" program at Shilla Hotel Jeju over two days starting from the 4th.

This event brought together 12 companies, selected through a screening process from over 50 TIPS and Deep Tech TIPS companies. Even after the event concluded, a customized networking program was provided to enable practical collaboration and follow-up support with venture capitalists, which received a highly positive response from participating companies.

Since 2023, the Venture Capital Association has been leading the establishment of a full-cycle support system for startups by connecting TIPS participating companies-early-stage startups-with venture capitalists who serve as operators of Scaleup TIPS in the next phase. The goal is to support continuous growth through networking with new investors and investment attraction (IR) activities.

This event was designed to strengthen research and development (R&D) support for TIPS participating companies through IR presentations and one-on-one meetings with Scaleup TIPS operators, as well as to expand global networking opportunities in connection with the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) SME Ministerial Meeting.

On the first day, special lectures, IR presentations, and networking programs were held. The program began with a special lecture introducing the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' Scaleup TIPS project, followed by IR presentations and Q&A sessions from the 12 participating companies.

During the networking session, participants were seated according to the business sectors of the participating companies and the main investment areas of the venture capitalists, creating a natural environment for startups and investors to interact. Participants actively networked, sharing information on key issues and future directions for each industry.

On the second day, a one-on-one consultation session was held among 23 companies, including Scaleup TIPS participating companies and operators. Based on IR materials submitted in advance, each participating company was pre-matched with investors operating relevant venture capital funds, allowing for more than two customized investment consultations per company.

A representative from one of the participating companies commented, "Through this event, I gained a better understanding of follow-up programs such as Scaleup TIPS after TIPS," adding, "The TIPS and Scaleup TIPS programs will be of great help to the growth and global expansion of early-stage startups."

The Venture Capital Association plans to launch the "2025 4th Next Scaleup TIPS" program in November. Recruitment schedules and detailed information will be announced sequentially through the Scaleup TIPS website and operators.
