Lunch Concert with Artists with Developmental Disabilities
Raising Awareness through Performances, Exhibitions, and Assistive Device Experiences

On September 8, LG Uplus announced that it had held a "Lunch Concert" with artists with developmental disabilities to raise awareness about disabilities among its employees.
The "Lunch Concert" is a cultural and artistic program organized by LG Uplus during lunchtime to promote a vibrant company culture. This event was held at the LG Uplus Yongsan Office in collaboration with the Milal Welfare Foundation and Paradise Welfare Foundation, both of which specialize in welfare for people with disabilities.
The performance was led by the "Bridge On Ensemble," a group of musicians with developmental disabilities affiliated with the Milal Welfare Foundation. Using a variety of instruments, including violin, viola, cello, flute, keyboard, and drums, the ensemble presented a diverse repertoire ranging from the classical piece "Hungarian Dance No. 5" to BTS's "Dynamite." In addition, an art exhibition featuring works by artists from "Bridge On Arte," a group of painters with developmental disabilities, was also held alongside the concert.
There were also hands-on programs. Supported by the Paradise Welfare Foundation, participants had the opportunity to directly use assistive devices for people with disabilities, such as braille information terminals and optical character readers. Attendees experienced the daily lives of people with visual impairments by inputting words into a braille terminal or identifying banknote denominations while blindfolded. They also wore special goggles simulating total blindness or low vision and tried out the official LG Uplus app "Your U+," as well as the AI call agent "ixi-O," gaining a deeper understanding of the need for improved accessibility.
LG Uplus plans to continue the Lunch Concert series with artists with developmental disabilities at its Magok Office following the Yongsan Office event. Lee Myungseop, head of the ESG Promotion Team at LG Uplus, stated, "Through performances, exhibitions, and hands-on experiences, we enabled our employees to better understand disabilities and appreciate the value of coexistence."
Jung Gyutae, head of the Milal Center for Culture and Arts, emphasized, "Cultural and artistic experiences with artists with developmental disabilities resonate even more deeply than lectures. We will continue to serve as a bridge, connecting people with and without disabilities through art."
