A Wide Range of Experiences at Goyang Drone Anchor Center and Korea Aerospace University on the 26th and 27th
Goyang Special City in Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Lee Donghwan), together with Korea Aerospace University and the Hwajeon Village Management Social Cooperative, will host the '2025 Space Station Hwajeon Festa' over two days from the 26th to the 27th at the Goyang Drone Anchor Center and around Korea Aerospace University.
This event was selected as a winner in the Gyeonggi Province Convergence Tourism Content Development Contest and is being organized with support from the Gyeonggi Tourism Organization. Under the theme 'Hwajeon Blossoms in Aerospace,' it is an experiential festival featuring aerospace-specialized content designed for the enjoyment of future generations.
The festival will take place at the Goyang Drone Anchor Center and around Korea Aerospace University, with the indoor flight hall at the Drone Anchor Center offering a variety of aerospace content across three themed zones.
In the 'Future Tech Zone,' visitors can experience drone flights and VR content, ride in a drone control vehicle, and try 3D printing and AI fairy tale creation. The 'Dream Space Zone' offers unique activities such as making zero-gravity jelly, creating a space bottle garden (terrarium), launching aero rockets, building B-2 gliders, and participating in the Paper Airplane Dream Airline.
In the 'Cosmic Dream Zone,' creative programs such as making space keyrings, Milky Way bracelets, and constellation handkerchiefs, as well as writing time capsule cards, will be available.
Additionally, a variety of stage programs for families will be held, including a swarm drone show, magic and bubble shows, and musical performances.
Furthermore, the 'Space Expedition: Exploration to the Planets' program on the Korea Aerospace University campus includes: 'Goyang Sky Tour,' a hot air balloon experience for elementary students; 'Drone, Let's Play,' a drone assembly and flight practice program for families; 'Let's Be with the Sun!,' a solar observation program for elementary students; and 'A Solar System Journey from Earth,' an astronomy observation program for elementary students. Participation requires advance reservation via Google Forms.
