Up to 2,000 Yen Off Airfares to Busan
Promotion Aims to Boost Regional Tourism and Attract Inbound Travelers
Air Busan (CEO Jung Byungseop) is launching a discounted airfare promotion on routes departing from Japan to stimulate inbound demand at regional airports.
This promotion will run for about a month, from September 8 to October 5, and applies to all Air Busan routes departing from Japan. Customers who purchase round-trip tickets during this period can receive an instant discount of either 2,000 yen or 1,000 yen on a first-come, first-served basis. The eligible travel period is from September 8 to October 25.
Reservations can be made through Air Busan's Japanese website and mobile web or app.
Air Busan is taking the lead in attracting inbound tourists to Korea via regional airports. According to Korea Tourism Data Lab, from January to July this year, a total of approximately 177,000 Japanese travelers entered Korea through Gimhae Airport, and about 71,000 of them, or roughly 40%, used Air Busan.
An Air Busan representative stated, "In this promotion, prepared together with the Visit Korea Committee, we will also introduce tourism products specialized for Busan," adding, "We will continue to contribute to attracting foreign tourists and revitalizing the local economy through various local events and promotions."
Currently, Air Busan operates a total of eight routes to Japan: from Busan to Fukuoka, Osaka, Tokyo (Narita), Sapporo, and Matsuyama, as well as from Incheon to Fukuoka, Osaka, and Tokyo (Narita).
