Official Global Launch of "King of Fighters AFK"
Collect and Train Fighters in a Retro-Style Idle RPG
Netmarble announced on September 4 that it has officially launched its new title, "King of Fighters AFK," worldwide, with the exception of China and a few other countries.
"King of Fighters AFK" is developed by Netmarble Neo and is based on the globally popular fighting game intellectual property "The King of Fighters" (KOF) from SNK. As an idle (AFK) mobile role-playing game, it features retro-inspired 2D pixel graphics and high-quality illustrations, evoking nostalgia among fans of the original series. The immersive gameplay is enhanced by the fun of collecting and nurturing popular fighters from each installment of the series.
The game is available for download on Google Play Store and Apple App Store. Simply by playing, users can receive "3,000 summons," "210,000 rubies," and "one Legend-grade fighter." In this launch version, a total of 114 fighters appear, and players can also encounter various types of "pets" that can be assigned to their decks.
To celebrate the launch, Netmarble will hold a special attendance event starting on September 7, offering 100,000 rubies on the first day, 200,000 rubies on the fourth day, and a Legend Fighter Summon Ticket on the final day. During the first pickup event, which runs until September 17, "Kusanagi Kyo" in the KOF '99 style will be available. In addition, a simultaneous pickup event will be held for fighters with the "Rage" synergy. Various other launch events featuring pets and supporters will also be revealed sequentially.
