The Consumption Revitalization Task Force is a council responsible for establishing action plans, monitoring tasks, and disseminating results through inter-ministerial and public institution cooperation, with the aim of restoring consumer sentiment and revitalizing local commercial districts.
This visit was conducted as part of the Consumption Revitalization Task Force led by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups. Participants took the lead in expanding consumption in traditional markets and local commercial districts by using Onnuri gift certificates for all purchases and meals. In particular, the on-site implementation in Jeju is expected to invigorate the local economy and contribute to the "Jeju Island Consumption Boom-Up" initiative.
Building on this activity, the institute plans to expand the use of Onnuri gift certificates and, ahead of the Chuseok holiday, will continue with a "Holiday Shopping Campaign" and a consumption certification event involving all employees. Starting at the end of September, the institute will also operate a "Shopping Day," encouraging each department to visit traditional markets, and will hold an event to provide Onnuri gift certificates to employees who submit receipts and reviews.
