The Janghowon area in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, a major peach-producing region, will host a peach festival starting on September 19.
The city of Icheon will hold the 29th Haetsare Janghowon Peach Festival at the Haetsare Agricultural Products Distribution Center Peach Festival venue in Janghowon for three days from September 19 to 21.
During the festival, a variety of events will take place, including a direct peach market, peach dessert sales, a youth cover dance contest, a singing contest, band performances, taekwondo demonstrations, and a donkey experience. At the direct peach market, visitors can purchase Haetsare Janghowon peaches at prices lower than the market rate.
On September 20, during the festival, the finals of "KBS National Singing Contest Icheon Edition" will also be held at Janghowon Sports Park.
To facilitate transportation during the festival, the city will provide a temporary parking lot at the Southern Training Institute of the Gyeonggi Provincial Office of Education and operate shuttle buses to the festival venue. A direct peach sales event will also be held at the Hobup-myeon Lotte Premium Outlet Icheon branch.
