The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korean Film Council announced on the 3rd that, starting at 10 a.m. on the 8th, they will provide 1.88 million remaining discount vouchers through the websites and applications of CGV, Lotte Cinema, Megabox, and CineQ. Independent and art house cinemas, small theaters, and senior cinemas will also participate separately.

This measure is to reissue discount vouchers that were not used between July 25 and September 2. The distribution method will change. Two vouchers per person will be automatically issued to each cinema's online member coupon box, and they will be applied on a first-come, first-served basis at the time of payment. Unused coupons will be automatically canceled once the supply runs out.

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism will operate a comprehensive information desk for moviegoers who are not familiar with the reservation process.

According to the Ministry, during the first distribution period, the average daily number of moviegoers was about 435,000, which is 1.8 times the average from January to July this year. A Ministry official stated, "The movie discount vouchers have sparked the recovery of the Korean film industry," and added, "We will continue to support the increase in audience numbers."
