Jeonbuk Province will hold a short-form video contest open to all residents and citizens ahead of the 26th Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province Architectural Culture Festival, which will take place in November.

The contest themes are: ▲"Architecture, the Stage of Life" and ▲"Green Breath, Infused in Architecture." Entries should feature vivid scenes from everyday architecture and moments where architecture and landscaping are harmoniously combined. Eligible buildings must be located within Jeonbuk Special Self-Governing Province.
Any citizen of the Republic of Korea may participate, either individually or as part of a team of up to three people. Each individual or team may submit up to two entries. Participants must download the application form and proposal from the official Architectural Culture Festival website, upload their completed video to their own social media account (such as YouTube Shorts or Instagram Reels), and submit the required documents via email.
Submissions will be accepted for 40 days, from September 3 to October 12. After expert review, a total of five winners will be selected: one Grand Prize, one Excellence Award, and three Merit Awards. Winners will receive certificates and a total of 2.1 million won in prize money.
The winning works will be made public through an awards ceremony and exhibition held during the Architectural Culture Festival from November 18 to 23. In addition to the short-form video contest, this year's festival will feature various hands-on programs and citizen participation events, as well as a special booth to promote the bid for hosting the Summer Olympics.
Kim Hyungwoo, Director of Construction and Transportation for the province, said, "The short-form video contest will be a valuable opportunity for residents and citizens to rediscover the meaning and beauty of architecture," adding, "We look forward to seeing the creative and brilliant ideas captured in these short videos bring even more vibrancy to the Architectural Culture Festival."
