The Korean Red Cross (Chairman Chulsoo Kim) announced on September 1 that Dunamu (CEO Kyungseok Oh), the operator of the virtual asset exchange Upbit, donated 1 million bottles of water worth 500 million won to Gangneung City, which is suffering from a severe drought, through the Korean Red Cross.
The bottled water donated by Dunamu will be delivered to Gangneung City via the Korean Red Cross. This donation is the largest case of support for the Gangneung drought among major domestic corporations and is also the first of its kind. Gangneung City plans to prioritize the supply of bottled water to affected areas and vulnerable groups to address the urgent shortage of daily-use water. As a 'disaster relief specialist organization,' the Korean Red Cross will continue to coordinate support between Dunamu and Gangneung City Hall and maintain on-site response efforts.

Chulsoo Kim, Chairman of the Korean Red Cross, said, "This support from Dunamu will be a great help to the citizens of Gangneung who are struggling due to the severe drought," and added, "The Korean Red Cross will continue to work closely with companies, local governments, and the central government to provide prompt support at disaster sites and do our utmost to protect the safety and lives of the people."
