On September 1 (local time), President Trump stated on his self-created social networking service, Truth Social, that the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is "falling apart" due to disagreements surrounding COVID-19 vaccines.

He said, "I have received great information from Pfizer and others, but it seems they are not releasing the results to the public." He continued, "They must release these results to the CDC and the public right now to resolve this confusion." He added, "I hope Operation Warp Speed was as successful as many have said, but if it was not, we all need to know that fact and the reasons why."

Currently, the CDC is experiencing internal turmoil as Secretary of Health and Human Services Robert Kennedy Jr., known as a 'vaccine skeptic,' is pushing policies to restrict the use of COVID-19 vaccines. CDC Director Susan Monarez, who had opposed Secretary Kennedy's policies, was dismissed, and other senior officials have also resigned under pressure.

President Trump, while supporting Secretary Kennedy's overhaul of the CDC, finds himself in a complicated situation, as he has touted the COVID-19 vaccine development program he led during his first term as a major achievement. He pointed out that the conflict between Secretary Kennedy and the CDC is intensifying because pharmaceutical companies are not releasing data to prove the performance of the vaccines.
